Collections
The Memories center of Bom Jesus do Monte has a vast collection that reflects the importance that the Sanctuary had, not only for the city of Braga but for the whole region and country.
The collection has been expanded over the years and includes assets coming from the Basilica of Bom Jesus do Monte and artifacts that the Confraternity holds, as a testimony of its dedication to this space of worship and leisure.
Divided into categories such as painting, ceramics, sculpture, goldsmithing, and textiles, one can find examples dating from the fourteenth century to the present day.
In parallel to these types of collections, we find the Historical Archive with vast documentation that includes the bibliographic archive, the architecture archives, the photographic archives, and the historical documentation.
These categories that are safeguarded and well-preserved are an example of the Sanctuary's patrimonial wealth.
